04/14/2004: "ER & Israël Kamakawiwo'ole"

Archived Entry:
For those who didn't notice, I uploaded an Israël Kamakawiwo'ole song, Somewhere Over The Rainbow/What A Wonderful World. I first heard this song in the ER episode where Mark Greene dies. Yeah, I've been watching all the ER episodes played every morning on TNT, and since it's right after Charmed, it works out nicely. It was really sad to see Mark go. Yeah, I know I'm behind in ER. I won't even watch the new ones until I've caught up. So, anyway. Ukulele music is pretty cool. I might have to get used to it soon or become homeless. Likely, my parents are going to move to Hawaii in a year. Or, at least my Mom is. I'm sure my dad would rather move to somewhere like Tahoe or the like. Maybe I'm wrong. Well, it's either get used to the heat, or get used to the cold concrete. Everyone knows how much Adam hates the heat. =(

I don't know anything about you, and I AM downloading your Israel Kamakawiwo'ole song, so perhaps I shouldn't say this. But your remark 4/14/2004 "Ukulele music is pretty cool. I might have to get used to it soon or become homeless." annoyed me a lot. I'm guessing you don't know much, nor care, about TRUE homelessness. Until you do, you should respect people who really ARE homeless and stop using the word carelessly. Your "tough" choice between living with your parents or having to fend for yourself (prob. with parents' help) is your personal tragedy, but pales compared to other's.

Don't speak unless you really know the situation, you don't don't know a thing about me, you don't know my life, you don't know my family, you don't know anything. It's been almost a year since that post, but not much has changed. Except for the fact that I will NOT be moving with my parents if they choose to do so. If everything falls into play I WILL be homeless. If you don't like my usage of words, too bad, go away. They're just words. I may have alot now. But doesn't mean everything can't just disappear just like that. Perhaps you, too, should think before you judge.
